David was born in Baltimore, in the shadow of Memorial Stadium, but spent most of his developing years in the country near Finksburg. When not in school, he tended his family’s orchard and vineyard, and raised beef on the adjacent farm. David’s background includes military service as an Officer of Marines, corporate management as a facility manager for Circuit City Stores, and non-profit operations director for Blind Industries and Services of Maryland, providing training and employment opportunities for people who are blind. David studied at St. John’s College, Annapolis, and Gettysburg Seminary, and has been serving St. John’s Grace UCC in Catonsville since 2008. He and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 36 years, and have one daughter, Julia, a computer scientist.
